We are literally the Pecan Nation. No matter how you pronounce it (pee-CAN? puh-KAHN?) the pecan is the only nut native to North America. All other nuts originated in other parts of the world. But the pecan is all ours.

With tons of pecans to sell, Genuine Georgia felt like this was an opportunity to create a memorable consumer brand for America’s only nut. The client invited Redshed to brainstorm ideas in a local coffee shop, and soon Pecan Nation was born.

We quickly went to work researching, and sketching, (and eating pecans), creating multiple concepts for the brand. The identity that stuck was a modern take on vintage Americana. The basic approach was: Promote the pecan as America’s nut and its health benefits, be authentic, and make it fun.

From simple coffee shop idea to major product brand, Pecan Nation pecans can now be found in stores throughout the U.S. and Canada.
